Day One of our Journey

We arrived in Glasgow a little late and very weary but safe and sound. Even better, we made it out of the parking lot and all the way to Loch Lomond and then past beautiful, romatic scenery to Oban. Roy did a first class job driving - even with me wincing and crying - you'll hit the railing (or curb). He didn't but it was a bit hairy as the roads are narrow. We arrived in Oban in time to tour the Oban distillery - Roy got to be the tester to decide how the whiskey tasted with and without water and after it has sat with water for a few minutes. It was a great tour. We are off for fish and chips and then to our B & B (we are pretty tired so should sleep well).

Thought we were going to get a Ford Focus, but got a Fiat instead. Nice car, but you can't see the hood which makes knowing where you are on the road a bit hairy. Tasted 12 year old Oban, which they don't sell straight from the cask and 56% alcohol. Very smooth and very firey. Then we did the 14 year old with only 40% or so alcohol. Great tour and great whiskey.
